Oh I Wept / Paul Rodgers - Chichester 2012

Oh I Wept

Nice version here with Paul delivering his usual high standard.
Debbie Bonham adds some vocals and the whole performance is great.
Paul mentions Free didn’t do this song – but they did and there is in fact a recording of it from the Sunderland show used for ‘Free Live!’ Sadly on the previous number (Songs Of Yesterday) Koss had broken a string and then replaced it so after the solo in ‘Oh I Wept’ (and some serious vibrato) he’s a bit out of tune when he comes back in with the chords – hence its never been released.

Wonderful to see Andy playing bass here.
He's looking well, happy and in great form.
Fantastic photographs from this performance and a review coming in FAS #129 (November 2012)

Andy Fraser Interview.
BBC Radio Merseyside
'On The Beat'  - June 16, 2012.
Host: Spencer Leigh.

Rather a strange interview with Andy and getting off to a bizarre start when the segment apparently opens with 'Wishing Well' (a track Andy doesn't play on, from an album he doesn't play on) and he's then asked if hearing it again takes him back to when it was created??? Spencer Leigh also gives Andy a writing credit for the track.... I bet that was a surprise.
Andy Fraser & Tobi

The interview also features some live music from Andy and Tobi (the first signing to Andy's McTrax label)

'On The Beat' is actually a nice little programme and they have a good varied selection of guests. This show also featured Wilco Johnson. You can check the shows out and listen on-line here (I'm not sure if it works overseas)
